A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Procurement Team on an interim base, to lead a Marketing Print Transformation project.
OurCoop, was created through the merger of three Co-op’s (Central England Co-operative, Chelmsford Star Co-operative, and Midcounties Co-operative) at the beginning if 2026. This role is to consolidate the marketing print services across our family of businesses, with one provider, and with a view to working with our retail media sales agency. This is a key integration project.
The successful candidate will either be from a Marketing Procurement Category / Lead background, or the successful candidate maybe from a Marketing Agency or Print background. The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate they have run RFP’s for marketing print in the past, and be able to demonstrate a understanding of the category.
This role will be a stand-alone role, reporting into the Senior Procurement Manager for this category, looking after the full procurement life cycle, from the proposed Procurement Strategy, requirements gathering and creating the specification, market analysis, running the RFP, negotiating commercials, and the contract alongside our outsourced legal provider, and finally on-boarding and implementing the chose supplier. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate having hands on experience of all these disciplines
The successful candidate will be leading this procurement project, to achieve the best value for money, whilst ensuring high levels of quality, whilst building both long-term relationships and meeting supply chain sustainability objectives, all conducted in line with our procurement policy.
The role requires the successful candidate to be a self-starter, great at project management and to be adept at managing senior stakeholder relationships, as this role will give you exposure to working with senior leaders in Our Co-op.
You will be working primarily in our retail business, which is a fast-paced environment, and requires a lens of innovation and simplification, as we drive efficiencies and increase productivity working with our suppliers.
You will work with our outsourced legal provider in drafting contracts, so experience of working with contracts would be of a distinct advantage.
