About the role:

The post holder will be responsible for leading on key partnerships and business development across the joint venture. The Senior Innovation and Propositions Manager will lead on the development and delivery of new and existing products to community energy organisations, to support the growth of Younity and the community energy sector in England, Scotland and Wales.
 

Role Responsibilities:

· Lead on the roll out, management and business development of the Community Power Club and support PPA Business development activity, particularly the “Licence Exempt Supply” offering. Engagement with key stakeholders to ensure its impact and take up is maximised across the sector is crucial to meet financial and non-financial goals and targets

· Develop strong working relationships with organisations across the community energy sector and beyond, to promote Younity’s products and to identify relevant opportunities, providing end to end management of their development, including roll out, operational adoption and implementation.

· Ensure the development of any community energy proposition is supported by a robust analysis of the energy markets, competitors and the community energy sector to ensure they are delivering maximum potential and impact.

· Work closely with the Director of Younity to develop and deliver the JV’s strategic business plan, in consultation with the Joint Venture Board, focusing on profitable growth and new opportunities across the community energy sector.

· Work with the Director of Younity to understand resourcing requirements (including budgetary) of any new propositions and their development and roll out.

· Support the Community Energy Kickstart loan proposition, from lead generation and negotiating legal terms, through to implementation and refinancing support.

· Work closely with the Digital Marketing Lead to ensure that any products are marketed and disseminated effectively to community energy organisations.

· Support the Director of Younity to develop and deliver presentations and proposals to the Younity Board.

· Maintain a strong understanding and oversight of the key market trends and regulatory developments within the energy sector, including knowledge of customer needs, competitors and the broader political, economic and social trends, ensuring effective dissemination to team members.

· Attend networking events and represent and promote the Joint Venture on internal and external platforms at a senior level, including public speaking where appropriate.

· Identifies opportunities to improve delivery and service through partnership working. Readily shares ideas, experience, information and best practice with others.

· Occasionally situations may arise where other duties or tasks may be required as reasonably requested by the Society.

· High level of commercial awareness with significant experience and exposure to the community energy sector and product management.

· Demonstrates resilience, tenacity, and commitment to delivering projects and products through to successful execution. Takes responsibility for identifying and developing strategies for meeting customer needs.

· Excellent planning and organisational abilities with the ability to react positively to rapidly changing priorities.

· Demonstrates sound judgment in making decisions and managing risks

· Develops appropriate strategies, policies and plans to meet short and long-term business objectives.

· Tenacious and determined to deliver products and projects through to execution

· A high level of commercial awareness.

· Experience of and significant exposure to the community energy sector and product management.

· Current valid driver’s licence.

· Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience.
