The Business Applications Owner will be responsible for ensuring Your Co-op gets the best value from its investment in its Finance and HR applications. This includes managing the development and operation of key applications to suit business strategy.
About the role:
In your day to day, you will Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications, and objectives. You will monitor system performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues, and ensuring continuous improvement in system efficiency and reliability.
The Business Applications Owner will work closely with cross functional teams, stakeholders and application users to define system requirements, specifications, and objectives and develop the system roadmap to include improvements and upgrades.
As the Business Applications Owner you will:
- Oversee the end-to-end life cycle management of the trading information systems, from procurement and development to eventual retirement
- Manage system integrations, modifications, and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to trading operations and optimal system performance
- Plan and oversee the retirement of outdated or obsolete system components, ensuring a smooth transition to newer technologies and minimal impact on trading activities
- Working with the IT Information and Security Risk Manager to implement and enforce security protocols, ensuring the protection of sensitive trading data and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Contribute expertise to project teams, representing the needs of the business including active participation in developing the support model for new applications
