As a
HR Advisor, you will be responsible for: 
 
Provide sound, reliable, professional, consistent HR advice over the telephone or in writing. Ensure all advice and support is both commercial and balanced with consideration given for any legal implications for the Managers and the Society.
Supporting the Managers from start to finish on employee relations cases, including providing them with the relevant paperwork to complete the meetings and being available during adjournments to provide support and guidance during the decision making; drafting template letters on behalf of the Managers
Ensure all casework is effectively managed without any delays.
Track and report on high risk employee relations cases to ensure appropriate management of risk
Support the business through the effective application of a wide variety of HR policies and procedures, e.g. disciplinary and grievances.
Coach line managers to utilise all available resources and improve their knowledge and capability with managing people
To work collaboratively with the Head of Colleague Relations and to support the Assistant HR Advisors with any case queries they may have.
To manage, coach and develop the Assistant HR Advisors 
Work closely with the Heads of HR to support change initiatives across the business by taking ownership for the roll out of HR projects including but not exclusively TUPE, redundancies and changes to terms and conditions.
Monitor the effectiveness of employment related policies, procedures and template documents and support in amending them to reflect change in practices, legislative changes or continuous improvement.
Contribute to the development of standardised toolkits and ER processes, working with Managers to ensure consistency and compliance across the Society
Take part in a on call weekend rota for serious incidents which require urgent HR advice
Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
Ensure that all employee data is processed and dealt with in a confidential and sensitive manner and in line with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
The role will be office based however a small amount of travel may be required but this will be by exception and with prior authorisation from the Head of Colleague Relations 

About You:

To be a successful candidate for this role you will need: 
 
A proven track record in a previous HR Advisory role with particular experience of dealing with a high case load, and experience of dealing with complex cases
Experience of business restructure, redundancy and tupe would be advantageous 
Up to date employment law knowledge and practical experience in the application of employment legislation
CIPD qualification or working towards, or equivalent experience
